Whisky really does sit at heart of the Highlands and the clear cold waters of the Dee, Don and Spey have all provided the base for this spirit.  At The Gordon we are only 45 minutes drive from the famous Speyside distilleries and the Whisky Trail but before heading away up into the hills why not try the local Lochnagar Distillery adjacent to Balmoral Castle to sample Deeside's finest.

If you'd rather sample the nectar without needing a designated driver then any of Ballater's four central bars will happily offer you a dram in exchange for a few pieces of silver!
